Institute for Study Abroad
Butler University

As the oldest, largest, most experienced program down under, the Institute for Study Abroad offers a fully integrated university experience. As the first large scale U.S. Study Abroad program in Australia, we have years of expertise placing students from the finest colleges and universities in the U.S. into the most prestigious universities in Australia.

Services

We have experienced members in our Australia section in Indianapolis dedicated to helping students achieve the most from their study overseas from advice on selecting the appropriate university through to receiving full credit on a Butler University transcript. They guide students with the admissions process, the acquisition of passports and visas and trans-Pacific travel arrangements, and provide extensive written materials to assist students with all aspects of their pre-departure planning.

Members of our Sydney Office greet students on arrival, carry out a three day orientation program, arrange for a stay on a sheep station or cattle ranch in the "Outback," help students through university registration and settling-in to their housing and keep in touch throughout their stay by monthly newsletters - the Butler Bull - through student liaison officers in each University location and by staff visits and activities during the semester. We welcome minority students and are equipped to provide services for students with special needs.
