The Centre teaches a second/third year undergraduate subject in Australian history from 1788 to the 1990s. This is available to BA students enrolled at all Colleges of the University of London.
The MA programme will not be offered this year. Sorry.
Prospective students wishing to study Australia may enrol in our MA courses by enrolling in the MA (Imperial & Commonwealth Studies) in the History Department, Birkbeck College, University of London, or the MA (Imperial & Commonwealth History), in the History Department, King's College London, University of London.
Full-year courses taught by the Menzies Centre are:
Staff at the Centre supervise students enrolled in M.Phil. or PhD. degrees at the University of London. Research students are provided with computer and study facilities.
Students wishing to undertake MPhil or PhD in Australian history, literature or politics (or another approved Australian area), may apply through the Institute of Commonwealth Studies. Joint supervision with the ICS and SRMCAS may be arranged.
Applications to study for the degrees of MPhil or PhD in Area Studies (Australia) will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis by the Head of Centre.
