- Lecture by Sir Zelman Cowen, former Australian Governor General. Distinguished Lecture Series, sponsored by Melbourne University.
- 5:30 in ICC Auditorium, followed by reception in ICC Gallery. Free. Private dinner afterward.

- Lecture by Sir Gustav Nossal, world famous immunologist.
- Co-sponsored by GU Medical School and Melbourne University. No fee.
