International experience: I have lived and worked overseas for more than eighteen years including extensive periods in Germany, Thailand, England, Spain and Australia. Five years backpacking throughout Europe while staying at more than one hundred Youth Hostels and working at a variety of jobs (including hotel, bar, restaurant). Four years graduate study in Sydney. Frequent visits to family in Sweden. (Altogether, I have spent Christmas in nine different countries!) But, please note, I only communicate in English.
General administration: All aspects of office administration in both government and academic institutions.
Educational administration: MA degree with specialization in junior college administration; Responsibility for several major university programs; Developed and supervised extensive training programs for the Army; Supervise and coordinate student exchange and study abroad programs.
Computer: Competent in all aspects of (Macintosh) computer usage. Designed departmental network for exchange of data, student registration and grading; desk-top publishing; statistical analysis; all phases of World-Wide-Web creation and maintenance, etc. Conceived, created and maintain the major international network of academics involved with the study of Australia. (But, please note, I am not a programmer - my work values content over "bells and whistles")
Born in Los Angeles, California on 12 February 1942. I am married to a Swedish national who has permanent residence status in the United States. My three daughters are grown and independent. Recreational interest include travel, canoeing, camping. We are very flexible and willing to live just about anywhere.
