Description:
The Australia programs will expose students to the wonderful world "down under". Courses for 1997 are Language Arts in the Australian Primary School and The "Americanization" of Australia ...Language Arts which will examine education settings in the greater Adelaide area, focusing on the language arts curriculum in primary schools. Private, public and church-affiliated schools as well as Flinders University's College of Education will be visited. The "Americanization" of Australia will explore the impact of the United States on Australia from World War II to the present from the initial impact of Pearl Harbor to the growth of American power in the Pacific. Students will also study the influence of American popular culture and business interests.
