Description:
This expedition, designed for hardy, self reliant students stimulated by a mix of intellectual curiosity and a sense of adventure, visits two of the most fascinating places on earth. Highlight stops include Sydney, site of the 2000 Olympics, the Parliment House in Canberra, overnight stay on a sheep station in Dubbo, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Townsville, the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns, traverse rainforests to watch an Aboriginal performance in Kuranda, and an "outback" excursion to the Red Dome Gold Mine. In New Zealand the group will make stops in Auckland, Hamilton, the Waitomo Caves, Taupo and Rotorua.
