Guides for international students

The following are some of the useful guides available on the WWW from various sources. While each is different, much of the general information will apply to any student.

From the Government:

The High Commission in Malaysia offers a useful guide, Australian Education for International Students.

Education in Australia and Australia's International Students are two useful fact sheets from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

From Australian Universities:

The Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane has a booklet called "Life as a student in Brisbane" and a booklet called "Arriving and Surviving at QUT" which can be downloaded from that web site.

Check the "Practical Information" from Monash University.

The Australian National University offers a good guide to "Studying at the ANU".

Griffith University has a good booklet on "How to Succeed as a Student" which anyone going as a student to Australia would benefit from reading.

From American universities:

See the U of Mass booklet, "Guidelines for Study Abroad", recently revised and improved.

Another source of good general guidelines will be found in the Study Abroad Brochure from Gustavus Adolphus University.
